Stop renting your designs. Own them.
Sanctuary Design is visual design software for outdoor and interior projects, from Sanctuary Outdoor and part of Sanctuary Systems. You buy it per major release. You keep your files. You do not need a CAD-trained staff to produce customer-ready designs. It is built to be friendly for contractors to use and welcoming for customers to review.

You should not be held for ransom
Many design tools are rented by the month, and your own files can be locked behind the subscription. Many contractors also end up depending on one CAD-trained employee. When that person leaves, the design work stalls. Sanctuary Design is built so neither one controls your business.
What you save
No software rent
You buy the software per major release instead of paying a subscription forever.
You own your designs
Your files stay yours. Stopping a subscription is never the price of opening your own work.
No CAD-trained staff
Routine design work does not require CAD certification, so employees become productive far faster.
Easy to say yes to
Customers see their own property in a realistic rendered view and a clear proposal from the same design, so the decision is easier to make. They can watch the price update as the design changes.
One tool, not four
Design, proposal pricing and printable drawing sheets come from the same project, not separate programs.
Pricing is built in, so proposals come straight from the design
Materials and products are linked to pricing inside the project. Modify the design in front of the customer and see how the change affects the price, live, as they decide. When they are ready, produce the customer proposal and order list from the same data. Drawing sheets can be printed for inclusion in your building permit submissions.
Use more power only when you need it
Optional server rendering
If a job needs a GPU, use the server instead of buying a workstation. It is optional, never required.
Optional AI assistance
If a computer is not your comfort zone, AI can help with ideas, layouts and alternatives.
Not locked to one renderer
If AI rendering outpaces traditional rendering, you can use AI for the render instead of waiting on a software update.
Designed with future automation in mind
Machine-guided excavators and trucks that follow digital instructions already exist, and more autonomous equipment is coming to the job site. Sanctuary Design saves each project as a structured .arch file: measured layout, materials and quantities in one precise record. The goal is that when your equipment is ready to take instructions, your design data already is. You do the design work once, and the crews and machines that follow it work from the same instructions.
From measured plan to rendered view
This is not just a photorealistic picture. It is what is in your proposal, placed on a photograph of the customer's actual home, so they can see what a pergola or a tall tree will look like from their own view before they decide. Every object in the design stays a real object: ask Sanctuary Design to move a tree two feet to the left and it moves that tree two feet to the left. A flat AI-generated image usually cannot, because it does not know which pixels are the tree.
Exterior or interior. One workflow.
- Exterior: landscapes, outdoor living, hardscape, structures, planting and site layout.
- Interior: kitchens, bathrooms, furniture placement, cabinetry, fixtures, finishes and wall colors.
- One color picker with the standard palette or the Benjamin Moore paint palette.
- The Sanctuary product library, or supported manufacturer-supplied 3D model and CAD files.
- Measured 2D planning and customer-facing 3D visualization in the same project.
- Photo-based registration and rendering for real sites, with headless processing for unattended rendering.

Common questions
Not with Sanctuary Design. You buy the software per major release and you own the designs you create. Optional services, such as server rendering, are optional.
No. Routine Sanctuary Design work does not require CAD certification, so employees become productive much faster than with a traditional CAD learning curve. A strong design lead can still handle standards and advanced work.
Yes. Materials and products are linked to pricing inside the project, so the proposal and the order list come from the same design.
Yes. Materials and products are linked to pricing inside the project, so when you modify the design in front of the customer you can see the effect on the price live, as they decide.
Yes. Sanctuary Design overlays what is in your proposal on a photograph of the customer's actual home, so they can see the view on screen before they decide. It is the real design placed on their real property, not a generic picture.
Yes. Every object in a Sanctuary Design project stays a real object with a real position, so moving a tree two feet to the left moves exactly that tree two feet to the left. A flat AI-generated image usually cannot do this, because it does not know which pixels belong to the tree.

Optional AI assistance can help with ideas, layouts and alternatives. It is an option, never a requirement.
You can use the optional server when a job needs a GPU. If AI rendering outpaces traditional rendering, you can use AI for the render instead of waiting for a software update.
It is designed with that future in mind. Each project is saved as a structured .arch file holding measured layout, materials and quantities. As machine-guided and autonomous equipment becomes practical for your jobs, that data is intended to provide the instructions. We are not claiming it drives equipment today.
Sanctuary Design is a Windows desktop application. The companion apps, Sanctuary Business Capture and Sanctuary Camera, run on Android.
It is built by a contractor to be friendly for contractors to use: routine work does not require CAD certification. Customers see their own property in a realistic rendered view and receive a clear proposal built from the same design, which makes it easier for them to review and approve.
An independent AI estimate put the effort of writing the requirements and the code for a product with these features at about eight people working roughly one year. This is an AI estimate, not a quote from a software house.
